We’re looking for a confident self-starting creative to join our marketing team as Content Creator. This exciting newly created role will be an opportunity for the right person to make a real impact on our business and play an important role in supporting our ambitious growth plans.
Job Summary: As a Content Creator at Loch Duart Salmon, your primary responsibility will be to effectively communicate our unique small-scale farm methods to a global audience. You will create engaging and informative content for various social media platforms, with a focus on Instagram, LinkedIn, and secondary platforms like Facebook. You will work in collaboration with the Marketing Manager and distributors to ensure the content remains internationally relevant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: With support from the Marketing Manager. Storyboard, script, and develop punchy and visually compelling clips for key social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn) and longer-form videos on YouTube, where applicable. Create content that effectively showcases our unique small-scale farming activities.
- Campaign development: Work with the Marketing Manager to identify customer and market-specific content needs by building relevant content campaigns around key messaging specific to the market.
- Localisation: Work with the French sales team and Spanish distributor to overlay content with language-specific subtitles and/or voiceovers to make it relevant to international audiences. There will also be a requirement on occasion for Internationally specific content.
- Real-Time Content: Work closely with farm teams to stay up to date with planned farming activities, creating content as activities happen to document our unique farming methods.
- Editing and Scheduling: Edit and schedule content for social media accounts with support from an agency and input from the Marketing Manager. Plan content three months in advance while remaining available for reactive content creation.
- Newsletter Contribution: Provide video production input for a monthly newsletter to inform customers of recent farming activities and innovations.
Qualifications:
- Strong passion for and understanding of content creation and social media.
- Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Canva).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Adept at storytelling and creating engaging visual content.
- Ability to adapt content for international audiences through subtitles or voiceovers.
- Basic knowledge of salmon farming or a willingness to learn.
- Relocation to Sutherland is preferable, but the place of work would be based around our fish farms in Uist, Sutherland, and Skye. Flexibility will be considered.
